Youth Empowerment Summit 2017

This year the Los Angeles IYC, San Gabriel Valley IYC, and San Fernando Valley IYC are a putting together its 4th annual Youth Empowerment Summit for High School Students and youth.

Now more than ever immigrant youth need to come together to know their rights, resist deportations, xenophobia, misogyny, anti-blackness, homophia/transphobia and create community defense plans.

This summit is aimed at empowering and sharing resources with LGBTQ youth, undocumented youth and youth of color.

Workshops in previous summits have included: road to higher education and other opportunities available, Art and Activism, Immigrant Woman’s Issues, Undocumented Queer and Trans issues, Gentrification, Know your rights.
