When the Immigrant Youth Coalition began organizing in 2011, we took to the streets and didn’t wait for the President to hear us, we demanded our voice be uplifted and we were able to support the efforts of passing Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and the California Trust Act. We have worked hard since then, thanks to support from our friends and allies to push forward anti criminalist narrative of our sisters and brothers that are deported and most vulnerable, regardless of criminal status, gender, race, and sex; our work just got harder. Please consider donating to the Immigrant Youth Coalition.
Whether it’s $25, $50, or any amount, everyone has a role to play. And, at IYC we believe creating spaces and opportunities to resist, acts of resistance is in our blood. We demand spaces where people listen to the stories that haven’t been told–the stories of native Americans, LGBTQ, GNC folks, Black folks, all intersections of the Immigrant identity.
